Happiness for me comes from...
…Seeing the most colorful birds come eat and play near my living room window.
They brighten my days with their cheerful singing!
I am learning their names, I am getting to know them and I am appreciating their differences and their impressive colors. Being able to see their cute little faces and their funny way of interacting with each other makes me smile over and over and I am always amazed about having so many of them so close to me. Every day is a wonderful new experience!
…Cooking every two days and being able to reach the goal of preparing and enjoying over 800 different recipes which include 79 different kinds of soups!
I enjoy every step of the process: choosing the recipes to cook, prepare the monthly menu, go to the supermarket and choose the right items, preparing the ingredients and cooking them, savoring the intense taste of a meal that was created out of love and the final job of cleaning a kitchen that never looks dirty or messy!
…Looking at the beauty of my flowers that creates a rainbow of colors and that touches my senses with their magical scents.
Seeing the many bees hard at work and the many colorful butterflies that embellish the garden even more, is a feast for my eyes!
I call it “my small botanical garden” and while I don’t know the names of everything that makes it so special, my soul thrives watching it and being a part of its magical world.
…Living in my dream home and being surrounded every day by the presence of my work and of my creativity.
I am living in a perennial rainbow, an ever lasting garden, a blend of two countries and two worlds and from morning to evening, I am surrounded by everything I love the most.
…Scrap booking the photos I take and that make memories even more memorable and even more special.
Creating an artistic frame around each and every photo sets a better story and allows me to better remember and never forget the special moments of my life.
Looking at photos is an important part of reliving those moments and storing them in my daily life.
…Writing and sharing everything that makes me who I am with the friends I so love and miss. Connecting with them and finding ways to stay and to feel close while an entire ocean is separating us, needs creativity and time and deserves care and the desire to keep friendships special throughout the years.
…Decorating and cleaning my house, making it pretty and warm while being surrounded only by things that matter and that have a meaning and an emotional value. I choose to see and to use only what’s needed so I don’t lose site of what’s really important.
…Seeing my baby olive tree growing taller and fuller at each passing day. His branches remind me of home and its simple, slender leaves are, for me, a symbol of faith and peace.
…Seeing the many amazing rainbows that I was so lucky to see this year.
They are one of the most special and most wonderful expressions of nature and they take my breath away every single time they appear to delight my eyes.
